Join ISACA for the third annual CommunITy Day as ISACA members, staff and their families take action in their local communities and make a difference worldwide. This year’s CommunITy Day event is scheduled to take place on 2 October 2021.
Recognized by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) with a 2020 Power of A Gold Award for its global impact, this annual event gives the ISACA community a chance to come together, virtually and in-person, through individual efforts that collectively make an impact. Activities can be completed in smaller groups, outdoors or individually this year, but there are many ways members can improve the world together – even while remaining physically distant.
Many ISACA chapters have already organized activities and are welcoming participants who wish to sign up. Select your chapter when logging into Helper Helper, the event app, to see what is being organized locally or globally, or log your own hours for your charitable activities on 2 October to stay involved.
Starting in New Zealand and ending in the US State of Hawaii, activities include foodbanks, fundraisers, environmental cleanups, and more. Most activities are open to families and friends.
Your health and safety is ISACA’s first priority, so all CommunITy Day activities should take local guidelines from government and health officials under advisement. Learn more about possible activities and how to volunteer in the era of COVID-19 by visiting the CommunITy Day Admin Tools page of the ISACA website.
Participants are asked to log all CommunITy Day activities in the Helper Helper tool used to track ISACA’s global statistics. Visit the Volunteer Sign Up page of the Helper Helper website to create a free profile, sign up for a volunteer activity and log volunteer hours. And on 2 October, watch as social media posts roll in from around the world using the hashtag #ISACACommunITyDay.
